We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team in the near future.

A house of character since 1913 in Colmar, our establishment combines modernity and history. Close to the historic centre, our house is also a garden hotel in the town centre, offering 40 rooms - double Classic and Tradition depending on the spirit, 3 suites and 8 family rooms.

Mission

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the welcome and the overall customer experience by assisting customers before and during their stay.

More specifically, your day-to-day activities will be organised around four main tasks in accordance with the standards in place in the establishment:
- You will provide customers with high-quality support during their stay
- You will manage the booking schedule and optimise sales
- You will manage invoicing (excluding debtors)
- You will coordinate activities between departments

Profile, key skills?

This is a fully-fledged position offering autonomy in a human-scale environment. We attach particular importance to providing a personal welcome to our guests - a sense of welcome and service is essential.
You will be well presented, smiling, dynamic and a team player. Thoroughness and organisation are the other qualities needed to succeed in this role.

Ideally, you will have some initial significant experience in a similar position in an establishment of the same standard, or more generally in the tourism sector, and/or you will have a hotel management qualification such as a BTS /Mention Complémentaire or Bac STH.
Candidates from other educational backgrounds will also be considered if they have a genuine interest in the hospitality industry and wish to develop their skills under our supervision.
You are fluent in French and English. Fluency in a third language would be a plus.

Job structure ?

Open-ended contract, 39-hour week - rest days are allocated on a cyclical rotation within the team. Other arrangements to be considered depending on the candidate's expectations.
Remuneration offered according to profile and experience.
Entry to be agreed.

We are continuing to refine our dining cellar offer and are counting on our collaborator to develop the service.

A house of character since 1913 in Colmar, our establishment combines modernity and history. Close to the historic centre, our house is also a garden hotel in town, located between Mulhouse and Strasbourg in the centre of Alsace and its vineyards.
In 2020, we conducted a major reflection to develop our ancillary services towards more conviviality during a granted parenthesis. Our evening cellar dining service is enhanced by a bar and snacks made on the spot: origin, seasonality and locality prevail as much as possible.
 The breakfast highlight has also been completely redesigned to ensure a real experience for our customers.

Mission

You will be responsible for the quality of the reception and customer experience during the evening.
More concretely, your daily activities will be organised around the main missions according to the standards in place in the establishment and in compliance with hygiene and safety standards:
- You will welcome customers at the bar and in the dining room and you will be in charge of room service in the evening - you will be fluent in foreign languages. You are fluent in French and English. You are fluent in French and English. A third language would be a plus.
- You will develop the sale of the services concerned
You will ensure a precise knowledge of the selected products (especially wine) and advise customers personally. You will ideally make proposals for the development of our drinks menu.
- You will organise the animation of the lounge/bar/terrace area such as the preparation of a welcome drink. You will submit and implement all your ideas to make the area more dynamic.
- You will ensure the maintenance of the premises where you work and manage the small equipment of your department
- You will manage the stocks associated with the food & beverage activity of the establishment - after each of your services - and you will pass on your orders on a weekly basis.
You will receive the relevant deliveries.
- In case of busy reception, you will assist the receptionist in advising and informing customers.
We will support you in your development in the position. The versatility of the position is ideal for someone who wants to develop their skills

Profile, key skill?

We are looking for a person who cultivates human contact (smiling and sunny attitude), who is a team player and who has a curiosity for product knowledge.
We attach particular importance to the individual welcome of our guests - a sense of welcome and service is essential. A first significant experience of service or more generally of customer reception (hotel - restaurant - wine shop or equivalent) is required. 
The position may be suitable for a first job as a school leaver with training in the hotel and restaurant industry - Bac Pro / Bac STHR / CAP or Mention Complémentaire /BP /BTS type.
Profiles from other educational backgrounds will also be considered, if the candidate has a genuine interest in the service and hotel business and wishes to develop his/her skills under our supervision.

How is the position organised?

Seasonal fixed-term contract to be agreed upon - 24 hours per week (or other volume of hours, to be discussed according to the candidate's preferences and availability).

Continuous afternoon/evening hours between 5pm and 10pm according to schedule. Weekly rest on Sundays (usual closing of the dining cellar, other day to be agreed according to the candidate's preference).
